Illinois health officials on Monday announced the state’s fourth case of the coronavirus was identified in a woman in her 70s. The Illinois Department of Public Health along with the Cook County Department of Public Health announced the patient — who is the wife of the state’s third case — tested positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus. Health officials are now waiting for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to confirm the presumptive positive. Health officials in Washington state announced four additional deaths among coronavirus patients on Monday, bringing the total number of fatalities to five. Moments after King County health officials announced that the state’s death toll had risen to five, another official said an additional death occurred in Snohomish County, bringing the tally to six.
