 Scott Thompson is the best!

ok let’s begin

#SYRIA
:syria::ru: Following Deputy Prime Minister Borisov, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived in Damascus. This is his first visit to Syria since 2012.
Moscow said it would support Damascus in the face of tougher U.S. sanctions, which penalise foreign firms dealing with Syrian government entities.
:exclamation:This means that for Russians another price increase will begin again - but Putin ready to do anything for the sake of “friend Assad” and preservation of “regional influence”…

now let’s move over to California

Tonight thousands of crawlers, roaches, crickets, ants, came out of the ground from everywhere. That plus the heatwave some believe earthquake in on the books.

This is obviously a radar glitch. Maybe someone is targeting weather radars?

Meaning the “strange weather patterns”

Check this account, lots of earthquakes today

Today, underreported

1982 ALL OVER

NOW FOR THE RECORDS BEING BROKEN

Read all the heat records broken :arrow_up::arrow_up:

So guys at JPL and NASA are all doing bets.

Challenge to avoid FOMO and the trappings of rabbit holes, inspired by M and his post, as well as @AriesAzazel’s recent addition of Abra to the set of rooms:

Come up with a solid game plan over the next few days of what you want to spend your time learning.

If you want ideas, go look at the example list of skills in Abra.

Create your own curricula for your independent studies and set a timeline around it.

I suggest putting the lowest hanging fruit first, not just because you’ll get it done faster and get back in the habit of studying, but because achievement breeds and inspires additional achievement.

This will help you build focus and momentum.

If you like learning alone, great - get started!

If you prefer that activities like this are social because it’s less boring for you and keeps you accountable, find friends and fam locally who want to learn these skill sets with you. Additionally, it will help to open the door to have more conversations about prepardedness in other areas and might inspire them to get more involved in that with you.

Bonus points: Go over the extreme winter guide with your local people. The more aware you all are about the potential hazards of GSM, the less likely you are to be surprised by situations you would have been able to better control. We know it’s coming - don’t let it catch you off guard.

According to Zharkova’s data, this isn’t going away. It’s not one bad winter. It’s 33 bad winters in a row. It’s something we need to adapt to as soon as possible to maintain quality of life.

How are you all doing with this? Did you come up with what you want to study and which certifications you’d like to prepare for?

Don’t get too sucked into the rabbit holes. It’s one thing to research something to quell your curiosity, but if there’s nothing you can do about it and knowing doesn’t alleviate any anxiety you might have, time is much better spent working on developing your skill sets!!

Here is a non-exhaustive list of examples of things you can potentially learn. Feel free to add to this list!

Think of ways to learn these things from home, or within a 5-25 mile radius, on a set timeline.

Figure out 4 or 5 of these that interest you and create your own pathways to learning them. And then set a deadline for getting it done!

Find tests or certifications you can take online, or if lessons are offered nearby, go on and sign up for them.

All it takes is a little research so you can figure out what will work for you wherever you are - and you’ll be well on your way!
